Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is a great follow up to its predecessor, delivering solid voice acting, a great Transformer's story, and some truly epic sequences that would make Michael Bay jealous! Like the first game you get to play both the Autobots and the Decepticons in a split campaign. It's about as long as the original and the developer did make some improvements in animation and made a very clear effort to make sure each level is varied from each other. You get to play as a plethora of different Autobots and Decepticons throughout the game and each one is an absolute blast to play.
The game also features a pretty robust online multiplayer and even features upgrades and cosmetic changes to your online character that few other games can match, and we also see the return of escalation mode which like in the first game features you and/or some buddies fighting increasingly difficult waves of enemies. If you liked the first game, you'll love this one!
What Parents Need to Know
Sure the game does feature robots fighting robots, but the action can be pretty intense. Plus, these robots do seem to feel pain as they do cry out in pain. A black substance can also been seen emitted when they get hurt.
There is no language in the game.
There is no sexual content in this game.
Drug / Tobacco Use
If your kids are begging you for an action game this year, this could be a great compromise. It offers very fun and explosive action with unrealistic robots, great storytelling, and a very engaging multiplayer mode which honestly is just as fun to me as Call of Duty.
