Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is a third-person tactical shooter that focuses on an elite squad of four American soldiers attempting to prevent foreign powers from attacking friendly soil. Most of the missions are highly tactical, except for a few that are more reminiscent of other “modern” shooters, and the game features a third-person cover system. The game will switch to first-person when aiming down the sights. A new feature for the series is adaptive camouflage, which makes the Ghosts partially invisible when active, albeit the Ghosts have to move slowly in order to utilize it as quick movements which quickly drain the adaptive camouflage's power supply.
Other new features include Gunsmith, which allows players to extensively customize their weapons and Sync Shot, which outside of firefights allows for three targets to be simultaneously eliminated.
The game features various multiplayer modes, including competitive and cooperative game types as seen in previous versions of Ghost Recon including some new modes.
What Parents Need to Know
Being a military shooter you will be engaged in killing countless hostiles using a variety of weapons such as rifles, shotguns, and grenades. Players will witness enemy soldier's throats being slit with knives and characters do spurt blood when wounded.
The game features plenty of harsh language such as f**k, damn, and sh*t.
Drug / Tobacco Use
If you are a fan of military shooters, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon will definitely be worth checking out. But like most modern shooters it is aimed at an older more mature audience.
